Shafer's in California

We tried to get the Shafer's to come down around Christmas time and go to Disneyland with us but they couldn't make it. Fortunately they didn't forget about the offer and decided to come down this last week. It was exhausting but very much worth it. The kids haven't seen each other for quite a while so they had a lot of fun. Since Brookley has been so many times she was able to show Mya how to be a princess. The kids also loved playing with Braden and he was a good sport humoring them. Hopefully we don't have to wait too many years until they get a chance to visit again.

Evan Soccer

Last week Evan started playing soccer in a YMCA league. It's for kids 2 to 3 so it's not too complicated. In fact they play the same team every week so the kids don't get to confused. Evan is still a bit timid and doesn't try to steal the ball from the other players, which we don't fully get since he sure does seem to like to take things from sister and not give them back. Maybe we just need to get sister on the other team and we would have an all-star in the making.

Black Lip Gloss

Brookley has some princess lip gloss she puts on constantly. Well it kind of looks like a mascara stick, so when Evan found mom's mascara he though "wow my lips are really chapped and I need to put some of this on my lips like sister does." As you can see by the pictures he almost got some on his lips. Also, just as a little side note, we went to an arcade this week and played a Deal or No Deal game. We decided that Brookley would do just as good at this as we would since the game is really stupid and requires no skill whatsoever. (I guess I'm just bitter because I spent so many hours watching and waiting for them to give away a million dollars and nothing except for 15 hours of my life I can never get back.) Anyway we let Brookley choose and she ended up winning the grand prize of 400 tickets. Unfortunately they would let her choose which scratch and win ticket to buy. Maybe in 14 years we might strike it rich.
