Sorry to all of you avid blog followers since we've been letting you down these last few weeks. Anyway we've finally made the time to let everybody know about our Christmas. Of course we thought this would be a really small Christmas but by the time Christmas was here it looked like Santa had more room in his bag than initially thought. He must have had Discover Cards sponsor a larger bag.
Well back to Christmas. Brookley had outgrown her first bike so she and Evan both got new bikes as their main gifts. They also received movies and sleeping bags. For Hadlee's first Christmas she got a Bumbo (a seat for babies to help them sit up better) and some toys. Of course we couldn't leave Bogey out so he got a new dog bed.
It was a really good Christmas and the kids seemed to really like all of their gifts and are still even playing with some even three weeks later.

More Pics of Hadlee
As requested by a loyal follower of our blog we've decided to add some more pictures of Hadlee. Actually we were thinking that she was in the recent posts but those are good close up pictures. She getting pretty big and her cheeks and belly are filling out nicely. She had a doctor's appointment today and she now weighs 10 lbs 2 oz and 21 1/2 in.

Evan's Early Birthday
We normally celebrate Evan's birthday on December 2nd since that was the day he was born, but this year we celebrated on November 30th. The reason we did that is because we're cheap and we thought this way we can celebrate Hadlee's blessing and Evan's birthday and only have to pay for one meal. While me might be cheap the real reason was because Grammy and Grampy were in town and we thought it would be fun for them to celebrate it with us since they've never had the chance. Evan didn't get anything too big but he was excited to get his two favorite movies "Toy Story 2"(He has a little crush on Jessie) and "Kung Fu Panda." The saddest part about Evan's birthday was that Grammy and Grampy had to leave right after and that made Evan cry. I was cute how sincere he was that he didn't want them to leave. He even cried the next day and kept saying that we needed to go to Utah now and see them. It's amazing how much a child can love their grandparents that they only see a few days a year.

Monterey Bay Aquarium
After traveling for two days to get to California what better way to relax than to get back in the motor home and drive several more hours up to Monterey Bay Aquarium. While it might be a little pricey for an underwater zoo, the kids really enjoyed it. Of course if you ask Evan he has to say he didn't like it but they whining when we left said other wise. Afterwards we asked Brookley what she liked the most and she told us the fish. I would say that is a pretty safe and all encompassing answer. Since we were in the motor home parking can be pretty scarce so we had to do a lot of walking since we also ate at the pier. We were all pretty tired by the end of the trip.

Hadlee's Blessing
Grammy, Grampy, Gleneita, Deanna, Alan and Bridgette all came down to Visalia for Thanksgiving and Hadlee's blessing. It seems like a long time to travel for an event that last a few minutes but it sure was nice to have them come and visit. Brookley and Evan especially enjoyed it because they don't get to see that side of the family very often.

Give Us Candy Please
Unfortunately we weren't expecting Hadlee to be born before Halloween so we didn't have a costume for her. The funny thing about Brookley's costume is that she has never seen a full episode of Hannah Montana but you won't find a much bigger fan. Evan on the other hand is a huge Toy Story fan and was pretty excited to be Woody. In fact, if you tried to talk to Evan on Halloween night you had to refer to him as Woody.

More Hadlee Jane
It's been about a week and a half since Hadlee Jane was born and since babies seem to change daily we thought we had better put up a couple more pictures. The first is kind of a smile, the second is Hadlee getting ready for her first bath and the third is Mommy, Daddy and Baby entering the real world
